The Centreville Wildcat Bobblehead

The WILDCAT bobblehead was an interesting challenge and our sincere appreciation goes out to Mr. Jack Weyant of Centreville High School for his guidance throughout the project. The piece was designed as a fund-raiser for the athletic department. Normally, the football and baseball programs receive the majority of attention and Mr. Weyant wanted a memento that would reflect all of the sports teams as well as the Band and Cheerleaders. In addition to projecting the team spirit of the High School, the piece needed to reflect the determination, confidence and "Ready for the Challenge Ahead" image of the school.

Of course, at the same time, the bobblehead must maintain a novelty and fun presence that would interact with the collector in a positive manner. Mr. Weyant also maintained the piece should be an exclusive item that Alumni would fine attractive. Therefore, the issue was kept to 1,000 pieces in a Signed Limited Edition Offering for the year 2004. The concept designs were reviewed and proofed prior to the sculpture. A number of changes were incorporated into the design as the piece came to life and a number of paint masters were made for the final color scheme. As you can see, the result is a one of a kind standing about 7.5 inches and weighing about 1.5 lbs.
