This young lady is just this side of amazing and is on the move to great places. It was an honor to be selected to build her first Bobblehead. The edition was for 300 and given out at the LSU game.

The project presented an interesting challenge in that we wanted to portray her palming two Basketballs at the same time. The Mineral filled Polyester Resin is strong enough as far as compression strength but the outstretched Arms present possible failure points at the Wrist. In the sculpture a wire armature was used for support and the molding was done in sections with the basketballs. The assembly of the pieces was completed prior to painting.

The exciting element to this piece is the fact that she is just exactly what you see. A confident, can-do team player that has the horsepower to go distance.

We sincerely appreciate the guidance and assistance of Jenni Peters and the creative team at LSU. Rest assured, we will be watching Simone as she continues her breathtaking career.

The original sculpture was done in wax and then molded. Once the mold was formed, a master casting was detailed and the rest of the production molds manufactured.

A paint master was made and the color scheme established in a Pantone system. This allows for future production runs without recreating the color scheme.

The client has the choice to destroy the original mold and prototype after the production run in the case of a Limited Edition or we will keep the original and color formula on file. All molds, formulas and prototypes remain the property of The Bobblehead LLC.
