Terri Sanginiti, Staff Reporter for " THE NEWS JOURNEL" wrote a very interesting article on the Bull Dog in the Thursday January 1, 2004 Focus section of the paper. She describes the Bobblehead promotion and similar efforts by other police departments to raise funds for special projects.

Her article illuminates the efforts of the sponsoring agencies to develop ways to generate discretionary funds for projects that might not be available at the Division level.

Also we would like to thank Capt. Laird for the creative and logistic support provide during the project.

The Original Mascot was a three-quarter profile of an animated bulldog. The intention was to build the body and overall attitude of the original two-dimensional character without losing the integrity of the original artwork.

In addition, the uniform was to closely approximate the standard Police Issue. There were a number of modifications before he was ready for service.
